Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

Merry Christmas & Yummy Breakfast!

We had breakfast inclusive of pancakes, bacon, and fruit, OH and amazing banana nut bread (thanks Ms. Jackie!) I am thankful for two amazing Mommas for cooking the pancakes and bacon, which was a huge beyond HELPFUL surprise. It was adorable to see the kiddoes in their PJ's. Enjoy some photos! (Also yesterday we did a SWITCHEROO with other 2nd grade classes, and I got to have my kids for the last rotation. Enjoy their singing!)

Random Acts of Kindness & Christmas

Today was an awesome day! We spent time delivering "kindness in a cup," to all staff and teacher in the school! It was a rewarding day, for the kids and me. Our teachers and staff are amazing and deserve the world- it was great to give them a little sweet treat. The students practiced hard at being good servers, and even rehearsed a script which explained the random act of kindness. I was so impressed and proud of each and every student in our class. By the looks of the smiles on the faces of teachers and staff family, it was evident that they enjoyed the treat too. (Also I had the students be the photographers also, hence the up-close paparazzi style photos)

We also had a MARVELOUS Christmas Performance led by Ms. Glenn! It was awesome and really sprinkled Christmas Spirit on our day.
