Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

WOW! Loved our Skype Event!

We had an awesome experience Skyping all around the world. Because my arms held the iPad for the duration of the day, I didn't get to take any photos. However, Mr. Gangler from the County snapped some. Also, we are featured on the county website for now. It was an awesome experience for the students.I couldn't have done it without the help of the various connections form great families of students (Amy, Lynne, & Missy) and the moral and physical support from all of the events from Missy Brannen, and Mr. Swiatek, and our supportive administration Mr. Weed, Mrs. Parker, and Mrs. Fehrenbach. It was an AMAZING event because of all of the hard work we accomplished together. I couldn't be more grateful! Check out photos below, all taken by Chris Gangler: http://www.citruseducation.com/2013_2014/HES_Ramirez_Skype/Dynamic/index.html

Sergeant Ross in 2nd Grade

Today was an amazing day. We were truly honored to have a personal friend of ours-Sergeant Darnell Ross whom we Skyped a year ago in Afghanistan, and have been in communication with through letters come visit us today! The kids couldn't stop smiling and talking a about him and his beautiful family after he left! Thank you for this experience, and for serving our country. We are so appreciative. You have officially inspired 20 more little children, and 1 more teacher, by setting the utmost example. #marine
