Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

El Dia de Los Muertos

We learned about Dia de las Muertos, and made amazing "sugar skulls" to represent the cultural celebration. They turned out awesome.

Summer Birthdays & Icecream Party

I was always a summer baby so I never got to celebrate my birthday at school. I decided to do a "summer birthday" celebration, and boy did they feel the love!

Also, because they have been so "sweet" I threw them an icecream party, with the help of my sweet husband, "Mr. Ramirez."

Black History Research

I am impressed that my 1st graders used books and the Internet to research famous African Ameicans. They researched and worked together in groups/pairs to create a poster. I was so impressed! Check it out.
