Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

Wonderful Week!

We have had a wonderful week, and I have enjoyed hearing more reflections and reactions to our big Skype event we had last week. It has been a joy spending time with your children, as these firsties are getting smarter and smarter everyday. Please go over the vocabulary words, and their new spelling words, as they are very challenging! Don't forget, this THURSDAY @ 2:00-3:15 2/28, we will be having a little celebration of the good stuff going on in our room..ranging from Black History research, to some published papers and possibly even country research.

I hope you know your child is LOVED!

End of the Week Reflections

What a week we had...although we missed a week...we didn't skip a single beat! We finished our diversity projects, concluded Chapter 5 in Math, and mastered the /or/ word family. Next week will be a crazy week, as we have a lot planned for the little firsties. There will be no homework, or spelling words next week. Enjoy the free nights with your 1st grader, as we will be reviewing a lot in class.

Tentative Schedule for Next Week:

· Monday 11/12 *No School*

· Tuesday– Review & Craft Thankful Stories

· Wednesday– 1st Grade Career Expo on the Bus Ramp 9:30-11:30 (Lunch will be provided)

· Thursday– Very Special Mystery Reader

· Friday– Presenting Thankful Stories & Sharing a Special Feast together

Thank you so much for sending me your little darling, each and everyday,

Love,
Mrs. Ramirez

P.S. Reminder: NO SCHOOL on Monday 11/12

End of the Week Reflections

The tables that had the most points got to eat lunch with me outside!
What a week! We finished Fair testing, and we had our Curriculum Night. I had a serious talk with your little darlings about rules, and how important it is to talk to each other with love and respect. It was such a heart warming experience to watch your child this week really get comfortable with their iPods. I am loving your kids, and absolutely adore watching them come out of their shells. Thank you for ALL you do!
