Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

Pastels for Cancer

We created photos for the Relay for Life. We read 2 stories that were written for kids, about the disesase,"cancer." One story was about a teacher that has cancer, fights it, and returns back to school. The other story was about a little girl, born with cancer, and she starts a lemonade stand to raise money for the hospitals to find a cure. Beautiful! It was so amazing to watch my precious 1st graders want to volunteer their own allowances and money to find a cure for cancer. It was heart-warming to watch these sweet little 1st graders brainstorm a list of things they would say to someone with cancer to pick them up, "be brave," "be strong," and other amazing pick me ups, like "have faith."
