Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

Spring Poetry/Art Journaling

Easter is just around the corner, and the sugar rush of jellybeans, and robins eggs is in the air! What a day, we had! We created poetry having to do with SPRING...what it tastes like, what it looks like, what it smells like, and what it feels like, using a graphic organizer. Then, we created a symmetrical background, traced over it in pastel, and painted over it with water-colors. Finally, we typed up our poems, printed the poetry, and glued the poetry onto the backgrounds we painted. Boy, they turned out stunning! Just might be one of my favorite art projects all year....
