Welcome to My Blog!

Being a teacher is full of ups, downs, and in betweens. I love the look on a students face when they learn how to read. I love when students can solve problems on their own. I absolutely love when students feel proud of their work, and want to share it with the class. This blog is going to be full of moments in the classroom, pictures, and sometimes videos. Take everything with a grain of salt, as it is my opinion & reflections.

And WE are back!

Creating a concept map to activate their brains on the first day back

Using their senses to describe an objects PROPERTY

It has been an awesome experience watching them blossom this year, so far. I can't tell you how exciting it is for me, as an educator when these sweet firsties come back to school in January. First of all, THEY GROW...and look so much older. Second of all, they're reading, and writing, and their handwriting has drastically improved. Watching them grow from the beginning of the year, until January is truly WHY I teach 1st grade. I love this time of year!
